Hello, I am back, I will be updating people on all kinds of things that are going on in my life. First things first, I left being the head coach of UTC in July to come back to my alma mater, Iowa State. It was very hard to leave Chattanooga, and my dream of being a head coach, but to come back to Ames in any capacity was something I never ever thought would happen. My family and I are back and it could not be going any better, seeing old friends and enjoying Iowa again. As for the job, it has been a blessing getting to know this team and their personalities, and boy do they ever have some personalities! These guys are committed, and are working extremely hard to accomplish their goals. We kick off the season, this Thursday, against South Dakota State then on Saturday we host the Harold Nichols open on our campus. My family has settled in real well as well, Josie , my oldest daughter is in the middle of basketball. She has never played before, but is doing awesome and really loves it! She has also played in a soccer and softball league already since the move. Ellie, my youngest is in gymnastics and loves it, she just pulled off her first backhand spring. Look Out Now. My wife is happy to be back home and has been awesome in getting our house set up and making sure the kids are active. As for me, I had elbow surgery 6 weeks ago, and I still healing, but feel great! I have not wrestled competitively since the US Open last April. I am just getting back in shape and wrestling as much as I can. I love coaching these guys and look forward to a great year! Check back often as I will update as much as possible. Take care, Chris
